Progress Update~ 06/19/2022

Hello~

Heh heh… so June 15th has come and gone, and there hasn’t been any new content updates… YET! The game *has* gotten some downloads as-is since I last posted an update, though, which is a pleasant surprise. I’ve been noticed, thank you for checking out my game! :)

And this game WILL be finished, I’ve made some good ground over the past week and a half:

- Point systems! And writing dialogue for said point systems! And making the points of the point systems do stuff! (This has taken up a majority of my time, alongside lots of polishing on the existing content. And I’m finally reaching the home stretch of it!)

- Polishing, as mentioned above~ (most items/rooms say something different when interacted with a second time WINK WINK, I moved some buttons around a bit, added a NEW MUSIC TRACK that Liam graciously made for the beginning, and a few more miscellaneous fixes and features)

- Quite a bit more content has been written and edited~ That means more buttons! More items! More weighted decisions to make, and more weight to said weighted decisions!

All in all, though taking longer than expected, steady progress is being made. I’m really excited for you all to see the final result, I mainly still have some polishing on the newer content, a bit more  writing, and editing/tweaking the text I have written for each ending (including a secret one?! :0) before I can release the rest of the game. I promise that it will be worth the wait, I’ve had some roadblocks here and there but I’m really proud of how “Backstage” is shaping and my first dip into the point-and-click vn genre.

Thank you again for the awesome music Liam, and thank YOU so much for checking out my game, and even reading through this wall of text about why it’s not done yet my progress on it. I finally started on this idea of mine to create a visual novel for this year’s Queer Game Jam, and it means so much to me that people are deciding to check it out amidst all the other great content in the bundle. I hope to continue making games, and knowing that even one person is enjoying what I’m creating really makes a difference.

So thank you <3 and I will see you with this upcoming update, you won’t wanna miss it.
